1. Who we are

Opulence Security LLC, trading as Opulence Violence Prevention Specialist – Security (OVPS-S), of Chicago, Illinois, is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. That means we decide what information is collected through this site and how it is used. You can reach us at info@ovps-s.org or (312) 414-0499.

2. What we collect and why

• Contact and booking details — name, email address, phone number, preferred class date, number of attendees, and any message you send. Used to respond to quote requests, confirm class bookings, and communicate about your booking. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
• Service enquiry details — the service you are interested in and details about your site, event, or organization. Used to scope and quote the work. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• Payment status information — whether a booking is unpaid, part-paid, or paid, the amount recorded against it, and the transaction reference. Used to manage seats, balances, and receipts. We do not collect or store your card details; those are handled by our payment provider. Legal basis: contract performance and legal obligation.
• Staff account information — email address and login credentials for administrators of this site. Used to secure access to the admin portal. Legal basis: legitimate interest in securing our systems.
• Technical and usage information — IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure. Used for security, fraud prevention, and improving the site. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

3. Who we share it with

• Service providers and subprocessors — our website hosting and database provider, and email/communication tools, acting on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which handles the sale of our classes, payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. Paddle processes payment information under its own privacy notice.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and insurance advisers where necessary.
• Authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to deliver the service and then for a reasonable period afterwards to handle follow-up requests, certification queries, and legal or tax obligations — typically up to seven years for records with a financial component, and up to two years for general enquiries that do not lead to a booking. When information is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Illinois and other US state residents may also have the right to know what categories of information we collect and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls on our database so that booking records are only visible to authorised staff accounts, and restricted administrative access.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses essential cookies and local storage needed to keep the site working — for example keeping a staff member signed in to the admin portal and enabling the secure checkout provided by our payment provider. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the booking or admin experience may stop working if you do.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where information is transferred from the UK or EEA, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used by our providers.
